FINE ART PRINTMAKING
COPELAND EXHIBITION
At the end of the second unit, we had an exhibition in the gallery. My work was "excessive". In order to have a better display effect, I began to try to make large paper sculptures. However, because the laser printing paper is too hard, the work is not easy to shape. Inspired by olden burger, I collected some waste paper and express box fillers as my materials to fill the sculpture in my hand. In order to make them form a scene, I made a background corner with a small advertisement. Originally, I wanted to put my work in a corner for exhibition, but because the base is low and the visual effect is not good, after the teacher's advice, I decided to abandon the background and leave only hands and cakes. The gesture of the hand on the wall seems to grasp something, but it can't grasp it, and the material represented by the cake is always in a falling state. Through this work, I hope people can think about their living situation. Are we always coerced by goods? Under the invasion of dense information, can people get rid of the interference of information and find the needs of the true self?
